چکیده

A method is given by which the response of a rotating or non-rotating Timoshenko beam can be determined, subjected to an accelerating fixed direction distributed surface force. The beam mode1 includes the gyroscopically induced displacement transverse to the direction of the load. The solution for pinned supports is set up using multi-integral transforms, and the inversion is expressed in terms of convolution integrals. These are numerically integrated for a uniformly distributed load having an exponentially varying velocity function. Results are presented for the displacement under the load’s center as a function of position and for the displacement of every point on the beam at an instant in time. Comparisons are made between the beam response to a constant velocity load and its response to a load which accelerates to the same velocity.

Effect of Temperature Dependency on Thermoelastic Behavior of Rotating Variable Thickness FGM Cantilever Beam

Thermoelastic behavior of temperature-dependent (TD) and independent (TID) functionally graded variable thickness cantilever beam subjected to mechanical and thermal loadings is studied based on shear deformation theory using a semi-analytical method. Analytical Study of Dynamic Response of Railway on Partial Elastic Foundation under Travelling Accelerating Concentrated Load

The dynamic response of the railway under accelerated moving load using Dynamic Green Function is presented in this paper. For this purpose, an exact and direct modeling technique is introduced for the railway modeling as the damped Euler-Bernoulli beam on the partial Winkler foundation with arbitrary boundary conditions subjected to the moving load. The effects of the elastic coefficient of Wi...

Dynamic responses of poroelastic beams with attached mass-spring systems and time-dependent, non-ideal supports subjected to moving loads: An analytical approach

The present study is the first to analyze the dynamic response of a poroelastic beam subjected to a moving force. Moreover, the influences of attached mass-spring systems and non-ideal supports (with local movements in the supporting points or base due to the presence of factors such as gaps, unbalanced masses, and friction or seismic excitations) on the responses were investigated. Non-ideal s...

Structural Analysis of Unsymmetric Laminated Composite Timoshenko Beam Subjected to Moving Load

The structural analysis of an infinite unsymmetric laminated composite Timoshenko beam over Pasternak viscoelastic foundation under moving load is studied. The beam is subjected to a travelling concentrated load. Closed form steady state solutions, based on the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) are developed. In this analysis, the effect of bend-twist coupling is also evaluated. Selec...

Scale-Dependent Dynamic Behavior of Nanowire-Based Sensor in Accelerating Field

The accelerating fields (e. g. centrifugal acceleration and constant acceleration) can change the physical performance of nano-sensors significantly. Herein, a new size-dependent model is developed to investigate the scale-dependent dynamic behavior of nanowire-fabricated sensor operated in an accelerating field. The scale-dependent equation of motion is developed by employing a consolidation o...
